Free-Sprung Balance
The free-sprung balance at 8 o’clock enhances reliability during shocks and assembly/disassembly, leading to improved long-term chronometric performance. By eliminating the index, adjustment becomes more precise and repeatable with 4 set screws, ensuring greater reliability in the face of shock and assembly, resulting in improved chronometric performance. The removal of the regulator index allows for more accurate and repeatable calibration through 4 small adjustable weights directly positioned on the balance.
